Purple Diamond Cancel - perf & imperf stamps
This is the first time a purple cancel has been used in decades.
It only made sense to use purple when cancelling a perf stamp normally with blue and an imperf
stamp normally with red so combining the two makes purple.
First Day of Issue Cover - FDC - 2026 $2.00 stamp perf & imperf
This is a Rattlesnake Island Local Post - FDC envelope that was flown off of Rattlesnake Island to Port Clinton via Griffing Flying Service on the first day of new issue of the RILP stamps Aug. 27, 2026, then cancelled by Port Clinton Post Office with a special Tin Goose Pictorial Postmark hand cancel. The envelope is the standard FDC size - 6 3/4.
