Unveiling of the "Island Birds Through the Seasons" at G.A.S.S. - Aug. 15th, 2025

RILP will be releasing the latest beautiful stamps featuring birds often seen on the Island throughout the year. The stamps were once again designed by Beth Gregerson. The APS has graciously allowed us to have the stage on Friday, Aug. 15^th, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Great American Stamp Show to unveil the new Bird issue which will kick off pre-order sales. Pre-orders will be filled the week of Sept. 11^th – 16^th. Hope to see you at the unveiling ceremony. The actual “first day of issue” will be on Sept. 10^th, 2025. Once again it will be on Rattlesnake Island, however since it is a private island, only RIC members and guests can visit the island.

This is a very exciting opportunity to present the famous local post to the stamp collecting community at a national event. I will be attending the 4-day APS show in Schaumburg, Il at the RILP table #330. The table is located across from the stage. Please stop by and visit our table.

New for Rattlesnake Island Local Post is the first edition of the RILP Catalog issued by the RILP, LLC. The catalog will feature prices for all stamps issued from 1966 through 2025. Also, extra items such as postcards, order forms, Christmas cards, and a section on errors will have price listings as well. The catalog format will be an 8 ½” x 11” white card stock with 3-hole punch on left and single sided printing. Catalogs will be mailed after 9-10-2025. The 1st editions will be $38.00.
