Welcome to the Rattlesnake Island Local Post website. I'm excited to revive and relaunch the RILP.
We are still on schedule for the First Day Issue on 11-10-22. Beth Lynne Gregerson has painting the
3 triangle based on the 3 photos displayed in the shop 2022 section. A new printer has been selected
since Watt Printing is no longer in business. All of the other details have been slowly falling into place.
Over time, I will be glad to share more details regarding the design & printing process here on the
forum as more interested rilp.org collectors become members. Pre-sale should start later in Sept.
As in the past, collectors are welcome to send in their own FDC envelopes and just pay for the added
RILP stamps. We will use the rectangle "first day issue" stamp and the required diamond dated hand
cancel touching the 1-3 RILP stamps. The RILP stamps need to be on the front left bottom of the cover. And if there is no room for the rectangle "FDI" box on the front, it will be stamped on the back.
Also furnish a SASE for the completed covers to be mailed back, unless you would prefer they are
mailed back through the USPS system. Don't forget to affix the proper USPS stamp in the upper right.
Can't wait for the proud RILP legacy to continue on Nov.10th. Looking forward to annual RILP stamp issues for years to come.
